Wind Energy

Moving air is used to produce wind energy. In fact, the word wind is used to refer to air that is in motion. This air is moving because the warm air over the land rises. This is used today to generate electricity.

Wind energy is a renewable energy source. These types of energy sources are not harmful to the environment. Wind energy is similar to solar energy; it will exist as long as the sun shines.

Wind energy is harvested for use in countries around the world. This energy is harvested through the use of wind machines and wind power plants. In the United States these power plants can be seen in certain parts of the country.
